What a surprise to see Rose Hill Drive in B-ham! This is a college town filled with punk bands and bluegrass, so it's a relief to see some actual heavy-duty rock'n'roll here. I don't imagine Cream ever thought "Sunshine of Your Love" could be played that hard or heavy.

Very small crowd (they played in our downtown brewery), hope they didn't mind. I'd only heard of them from reading in Classic Rock, so I was pretty psyched to see them live. It was a good night with them and Backyard Tire Fire. Cool to see a bass player play through a distortion pedal. Yeah, the music has a '70's heavy vibe to it, but that stuff never gets old.

Rock on!
