I'm at London (do not disturb, as I will be taping), and possibly Wolves and Manchester..oh and Brighton, if I can get the time off work.

Hi folks

I’m new to the forum and very much looking forward to seeing Rose Hill Drive for the first time in two weeks. The first I heard of the band was the song Intruder which was on a CD with Classic Rock magazine. I’m not too familiar with the studio albums as yet, but I have been loving the live sets on the archive. :D
Anyone here planning to be at the Glasgow gig at King Tuts? I just got my ticket today.

Providing the recordings come out OK, yes!

I'm hoping to bring my stand to Manch, Wolves and Brighton, in which case come say hello, I'll be lurking under it. London I have to stealth because The Barfly has nowhere to put a stand.

I've had my fair share of ballsing up RHD tapes, though pleased with the couple I've upped to the Archive.

Newcastle and Glasgow should be taped also, by stealth tapers. Again, do not disturb them :D

Oh yes, and those going to Newcastle - beware, they have an early curfew (10pm I think) at that venue..get there early!

Did I mention I'm fuckin' excited? Just two weeks to go.

What's up Humbug? Anything you can pull is greatly appreciated!

I see the Black Keys have a six day UK run mid-November. They have been lighting it up over here all year. Try to make a show or two if you can.

Carling Academy turns into a nightclub on Fri/ Sat nights so gig will need to be emptied by 10.00pm. Get to the gig at 6.30pm.

See you there??

Well loks like its just me and the stealth tapers in Glasgow. I'd better remember my hayfever pills otherwise you may hear me sneezing during the show. :D
Black Keys are a great live band too, I'll be at the Edinburgh show

You won't be alone at Glasgow mate - I'm heading over from Peebles (Borders) with a few mates and gotta say i'm the most hyped I've been about a gig for years!

Used to run a live venue down in Birmingham but since I moved up here 3 years ago I've only been to the SECC a few times, so can't wait to be back in a small venue and these guys are gonna ROCK!!

I don't care how many folks are there - I reckon this will be one of those "I was there" gigs and can't feckin wait

See ya there!

Hi Dirty
Yes I'm really looking forward to it aswell and the fact its at a cool small venue like King Tuts and is the first European date have been increasing my excitement.
I'm travelling over from Edinburgh (so wish I'd gone to see them when they played Edinburgh last year). I'll be in a Black Keys T-shirt when I enter (that may change to RHD once I get therethough!). See ya there and raise your hands! :D

Just back from the long drive home following the King Tuts gig in Glasgow.

Tired, deaf, but HOLY SHIT WHAT A GIG!!! :D Just stunning.

Thanks to RHD and King Tuts (my first visit there and VERY impressed with the venue / staff) for an awesome night out.

I was there

Thanks for that. My drive to work will be a bit better this morning in anticipation of Newcastle tonight. I'll post "something" afterwards. Glad you enjoyed.

I can second that, the Glasgow gig was great! :D
The band were rocking. The main surprise was they have shorter hair than they used to! They played pretty much all of their original songs that I wanted to hear, with the exception of Guru. Also played a great cover of Dazed and Confused (hopefully someone got a recording!). Had to leave about 7 minutes into Reptillian Blues to get the last train to Edinburgh, so not sure if there were any encores but gig was due to finish 15 mins later.

Word of advice, if you're looking to get the new album or one of the t-shrts, buy it once you enter the venue. The stand was unmanned after the support band's set and during RHD's set (not really a wise move in my opinion), so you'd have to wait til after the gig. There's a cool purple 8th Wonder T-shirt, which I had to buy!

Spoke to some guys who had seen RHD 5 times in Glasgow - I'd had no idea they had been here so many times, I'll certainly be back for the next show! Will post a linkto some photos once I get them up.

Even White Ace the support band were pretty good.

Just got back from Newcastle. Only 7 miles down the road. Some quick thoughts.

SPOILER ALERT - DON@T READ IF YOU DON@T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT POSIBLE SONGS THAT MIGHT FEATURE FOR FUTURE UK SHOWS>

My ears HURT

First time I've seen the band live. Was simply blown away, very tight, very powerful. No fancy lights, no flashpots - just a great rock n roll band.

Loads of newer stuff played. Was sort of expecting Showdown and Cool Cody. Not a criticism though, cause I thoroughly enjoyed all the show. Raise Your Hands was a highlight for me.

Canny few technical problems. 2 bust strings. If anyone taped the show, Mexico will sound different. Mostly played with 5 strings so it sounded different / unique.

Long Tall Sally featured. Not heard that before. Are there any shows in circulation to feature Sally?

I thought that the merchanidise was pretty naff (crap to non-uk fans). But I did buy a purple T shirt. How do I explain that to my Mrs?

So impressed that I'm thinking of doing Manchester. How do I explain that to my Mrs?
:(

I looked for tapers but didn't see any. Anyone know if the show was taped.

Anyway, pretty knackered now. A few glasses of wine while I listen to my IPOD (RHD of course) are in order. More tomorrow.

Cheers
